Awkwafina
Awkwafina is an American performer and actress, started with funny raps, which dealt with sexuality and racial identification. In the years before she stepped into Hollywood she came out with a series of rap tracks. Nora Lum was born to Chinese-Korean immigrants from Forest Hills Queens. Her first encounter with music was via the trumpet. Also, she received classical and jazz training later exploring hip-hop in her teenager. At college, she was studying writing and women's studies. Then, she even had an hour studying Mandarin while in Beijing. After graduation, she began to devote her time to music. Following her viral success through the Internet Her single My Vag was a reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually became a part of her debut album Yellow Ranger. The album also included hit songs with viral appeal, like the body-positive Queef or winking hometown tour New York Bitche$. This latter song was directly connected to Awkwafina's NYC and 2015 travel guide. A musician and an author were as her credentials, she began looking for an actor for a third venture. In addition to early shows such as Girl Code and Tawk she has also appeared in films such as Neighbors 2. Storks as well as Bad Rap. In 2018 she scored breakout role in a few prominent films such as Dude ocean's 8.8 and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP came out in June.
